[Science Espresso] Bioinformatics: the unity of numbers and artistic work

  • Sparks Science Espresso Vilnius bioinformatics

Human genome is constituted of over 3 billion base pairs. An irreplaceable tool to deal with so much data is bioinformatics. It not only helps to save months’ worth of time when analysing large array data, but also enables the visualisation of the tiniest particles. Why is it important to depict proteins and other molecules? How can bioinformatics help to trace the origins of different microorganisms? Can we use bioinformatics not only to model the endpoints of scientific experiments, but also to guess the outcomes of other events?

Find it out during the extraordinary SPARKS Science Espresso discussion on the 5th of October at PAVILJONAS.
